INTRODUCTION
Assiah, where humans live, and Gehenna, where evil lives.
These two dimensions essentially cannot directly interact with each other,
but demons can interfere with Assiah by possessing physical objects.
However, some humans—exorcists—take it upon themselves to drive out the demons..
Their duties beyond exorcism are broad, ranging from preventing demon-related disasters or terrorism,
to listening to the worries of the local residents.
In contrast to the exorcists engaged at the front lines against demons,
there are many others who are overwhelmed by daily chores at the Japan Branch of the Knights of the True Cross.
In order to protect the lives of the local residents, they take on all manner of odd jobs,
from solving unnatural phenomena, to making offerings at forgotten shrines, to debugging the exorcist support app, TapChat.
One day, a fire breaks out in the Hyakusai Pagoda,
the location of one of the personal collections of possessed relics owned by Mephisto Pheles, the Preceptor of the Japan Branch.
Since then, there have been ever-increasing eyewitness reports of unfamiliar evils lurking within True Cross Academy Town.
What set fire to Hyakusai Pagoda and what drew evil to that place?
The disaster will set into motion a new chapter in the exorcists' lives.

Rin Okumura
Nobuhiko Okamoto
A young human and demon half blood and the illegitimate son of Satan. Rin is currently undergoing training as an Exwire at the Exorcism Cram School, and his goal is to become an exorcist in order to avenge his adoptive father, Shiro Fujimoto.
He fights using the Blue Flames he inherited from Satan and the Koma Sword, a sword that has sealed off the heart of his own inner demon. -
Yukio Okumura
Jun Fukuyama
Rin's younger twin brother. Calm, cool, and collected, Yukio is honest, sincere, and gifted with a talent for exorcism. He is a genius who became the youngest exorcist in history. He works at the Exorcism Cram School as an instructor, specializing in Anti-demon Pharmaceutics.

Shiemi Moriyama
Kana Hanazawa
The daughter of the owner of Futsumaya, an exorcism supply shop. Wanting to change her introverted personality, she enrolls in Exorcism Cram School. Shiemi is very knowledgeable about plants and is a talented Tamer, an exorcist who summons and controls spirits.

Izumo is a candidate heiress from a long line of shrine maidens. She is strong-willed and often has harsh words for Rin and his friends, but deep down, she is sincere and cares deeply for her friends.
She is a talented Tamer and can summon two white foxes, Mike and Uke. -
Ryuji Suguro
Kazuya Nakai
The son of a prestigious shrine in Kyoto, he has the lineage of the head priest for the Myodha Sect. He aims to become an exorcist so that he can restore his temple, which has been in decay since the Blue Night.

Konekomaru Miwa
Yuki Kaji
A student of Tatsuma, Konekomaru is the sole head of the Miwa family household and comes from a line of priests of the Myodha Sect. He has spent a lot of time with Ryuji and Renzo since they were children. After losing his family during the Blue Night, he feels indebted and grateful to the temple that took him in. He is kind, has an amiable nature, and is an intellectual whom Ryuji believes would be a perfect advisor.

Renzo Shima

The fifth son of the Shima family, Renzo comes from a long line of priests who oversee the Myodha Sect disciples. He is a student of Tatsuma Suguro and is childhood friends with Ryuji and Konekomaru. Everyone knows, including himself, that he loves girls. A light-hearted boy, he has a tendency to dislike bothersome things and rigidness.

Shura Kirigakure

An upper-rank exorcist who was dispatched by the Vatican Headquarters of the True Cross Order to the branch location in Japan. She was Shiro Fujimoto's, the adoptive father of the Okumura brothers, apprentice, and claims to be 18 years old. She has an easy-going and carefree personality, but she understands the twin brothers well and shows her care for them by teaching Rin swordsmanship and keeping an eye out for Yukio's well-being. She's quite the heavy drinker.

The fourth eldest son of the Shima family, an Intermediate Exorcist (Buddhist) Second Class who has Knight and Aria Meisters. Like his big brother Juzo, he is quite combative. Also the lead shamisen vocalist of Death Strider.

The Senior First Class Exorcist and has Tamer, Doctor, and Aria Meisters.
Acts as Mephisto's puppet in secret. -
Adori Kureha
Yume Miyamoto
A tamer with a love of drawing, Kureha worked in a department which oversees demon-related art, until she was reassigned to the new Special Investigations Unit.
She doodles many of the exorcists she meets in a sketchbook and appears to be searching for someone. She's the protagonist's new partner and carries out exorcisms with her trusty familiar, Momo. -
Kazuto Igiri
Natsumi Fujiwara
A Knight who is confident in his impressive agility, Igiri isn't much of a deep thinker, preferring to sprint his way through situations instead.
On the verge of quitting after numerous setbacks in his old department, his encounter with the protagonist and Kureha leads to a change of heart, and he joins the Special Investigations Unit. -
Kunan Hitsugi

An Aria quietly juggling both modeling and exorcism careers, Hitsugi does well enough at work, but finds herself losing motivation until she joins the Special Investigations Unit.
She's a gifted singer who supports her allies in battle by reciting hymns of instant death.
She has a unique friendship with her colleague Igiri. -
Jirei Komori
Kazuyuki Okitsu
An eccentric Tamer who thinks of nothing but demons, Komori has little interest in his fellow man and is obsessed with cooking up demon bait.
His behavior has caused on shortage of trouble in the past, leading to his being passed from department to department until arriving at (being dumped on) Special Investigations.
While he has a fondness for demons, he also views them as pawns to be controlled. -
Yushi Makugai
Kenjiro Tsuda
Makugai founded the Special Investigations Unit, and its members report to him.
He has an honest personality and tends to say what he thinks.
Makugai is an accomplished exorcist with the Knight and Dragoon Meisters under his belt, but he has a tendency to push all of his work onto his subordinates.
Rumors say he was an intellectual and a rising star in his youth, and that he has his own agenda for the Special Investigations Unit...
